The Human Services Directory (HSD) provides accurate and up-to-date online information about Health, Social and Disability Services.

Developed by DCA and launched in 2004, it has grown to include detailed information for over 22,000 providers and some 15,000 service sites.

The HSD is a feature rich application that includes:

• an easy-to-use intuitive search engine
• web services connectivity
• access to the general public
• secure access to additional data
• guaranteed validated and up-to-date information
• available at no charge.

The HSD is used by some of Victoria's major services including:

• Nurse-on-Call which handles over 3000,000 telephone calls per year
• Better Health Channel website with more than one million visits per month
• HealthSMART, Victoria's whole-of-health information and communication technology (ICT) strategy
• Disability online
• a range of public and private hospitals.
